What is a free payment?
Each new account includes 5 free payments — real payments from real customers or your own test payments. No subscription required. Once you've used your 5 free payments, you'll need an active subscription to continue accepting Bitcoin.
Is each product a separate subscription?
Yes. WooCommerce, Website Checkout, and Commerce are three separate products — each requires its own subscription at the same price ($9/month or $6/month yearly).
All three connect to the same AQUA wallet and the same dashboard.
Are there transaction fees?
AvoPay charges zero transaction fees. You pay a flat subscription — $9/month or $6/month on the yearly plan.
A Boltz swap fee of approximately 0.25% plus a small network fee applies at settlement. These are charged by Boltz Exchange (the swap provider), not AvoPay, and are shown transparently to customers at checkout.
How is the subscription paid?
Your subscription is paid via Bitcoin Lightning — converted to satoshis at the live BTC rate when you subscribe. Card billing is not currently available.
Can I use AvoPay with multiple stores?
Each subscription covers one store or integration. If you run multiple separate businesses or WooCommerce installations, each requires its own AvoPay subscription.
Do I need to run a Bitcoin node?
No. AvoPay uses Boltz Exchange for all swap infrastructure. You only need the free AQUA wallet app on your phone — download it at
aqua.net.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and will not renew. Yearly subscriptions are billed upfront for the full year and are non-refundable after the payment settles on the Lightning Network.
